2026 Taiwan Empirical Survey Data Paper Award – Call for Papers

The Taiwan Empirical Survey Data Promotion and Value-Added Project integrates eight major social science survey databases and promotes data archiving, value-added analysis, and academic applications.
The project aims to assist researchers in utilizing high-quality empirical data to deepen the understanding of Taiwanese society, politics, communication, law, and everyday life.

To encourage young scholars to conduct research using large-scale survey datasets, the project is pleased to announce the 2026 Taiwan Empirical Survey Data Paper Award.
We warmly welcome submissions from master’s students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral researchers ✍️

🎯 Submission Requirements

Submitted papers must conduct empirical analysis using one of the following designated databases:

Taiwan Social Change Survey (TSCS)
Taiwan Communication Survey (TCS)
Taiwan Election and Democratization Study (TEDS)
Asian Barometer Survey (ABS)
Taiwan Early Childhood Development Study (KIT)
Taiwan Database for Empirical Legal Studies (TaDELS)
Panel Study of Family Dynamics (PSFD)
Taiwan i-Generation Panel Study (TIGPS)

📆 Important Dates

Submission Deadline: June 15, 2026
Announcement of Results: Mid-July 2026 (winners will be notified via email)
Poster Presentation: July 31, 2026 (Award recipients are required to present their research at the symposium.)

🏆 Awards

The first-place paper within each database category will receive a NTD 5,000 award.
In the second-stage evaluation, the top three papers overall will be selected and receive additional awards of NTD 5,000, NTD 3,000, and NTD 2,000, respectively.

📄 Submission Guidelines

Papers must be written in MS Word format (A4). Please follow the academic style guidelines of the Chinese Communication Society.
Papers should be approximately 10,000 words, including Chinese and English abstracts and keywords prepared according to the required format.
File name format:【DatabaseName_PaperTitle_FirstAuthorName】
